New Anglia University (NAU) is proud to announce a new clinical education partnership with Prospect Park Hospital, a leading healthcare facility in Reading, Berkshire. This collaboration will strengthen clinical placement opportunities for NAU students in healthcare and allied health sciences, enabling hands-on training within a dynamic NHS hospital environment.
Under this strategic partnership, NAU students will have the opportunity to:
- Undertake supervised clinical assessments, including comprehensive history taking, physical examinations, formulation of differential diagnoses, and development of initial management plans.
- Participate actively in consultant-led ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case-based discussions, contributing to patient reviews and clinical decision-making under supervision.
- Develop competencies in recognising and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing clinical procedures appropriate to level of training, and applying evidence-based guidelines within NHS practice.
- Gain structured exposure to patient pathways, including admission clerking, risk assessment, safeguarding considerations, discharge planning, and continuity of care across inpatient and community settings.
Prof. Hasan Tahir, Vice Provost of New Anglia University, said:
“This partnership reflects our commitment to excellence in clinical education and prepares our students to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare landscape. Collaborating with Prospect Park Hospital offers an invaluable experiential learning environment that will shape the next generation of clinicians.”
This collaboration further reinforces NAU’s mission to provide high-quality, clinically focused education aligned with NHS standards and workforce needs across the United Kingdom.
