Indian applicants can study for a Medical Degree at New Anglia University in a 5-year program (Premedical and MD) plus a 1-year internship that complies with the National Medical Commission (NMC) requirements as per the notification No. UGMEB/NMC/Rules & Regulations/2021. This enables students to sit for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) and practice medicine in India. More particularly:
- The total duration of the 5-year Medical program is 60 months, which exceeds the NMC's minimum requirement of 54 months. The program's subjects are aligned with the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997.
- The medium of instruction for the medical degree is in English, in accordance with NMC guidelines, as Anguilla is an English-speaking country.
- After graduation, Indian students shall register with the Anguilla Medical Registry, the respective professional regulatory body that grants licenses to practice medicine in the country, following the NMC procedures.
- Following the completion of the 5-year program, a paid internship of 12 months, organized and supervised by New Anglia University at hospitals in Anguilla, adheres to NMC guidelines. It provides hands-on training in clinical subjects including, but not limited to, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Emergency or Casualty services, lab services, and their sub-specialties. During the internship, students will receive a monthly salary from the respective hospital.
- Pre-FMGE integrated achievement tests offered by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) covering material typically learned during basic science education and core clinical clerkships. Students need to sit for the:

- Comprehensive Basic Science Subject Exam (CBSE) at the end of the Basic Sciences.
- Comprehensive Clinical Science Subject Exam (CCSE) at the end of the Clinical Rotations.

- Postgraduate specialization opportunities in the US, UK or Anguilla are available.
